ABOUT

Hey everyone, I'm Alexandra Denman (Alyx), I'm a psychotherapy practitioner in the UK, I've worked in the mental health sector for nearing on 7 years, I started my training just before that and the first lot of training I did was suicide prevention training with an online company, once I completed that I went on to work for a suicide helpline here in the UK for 6 months where I realised helping people healed me and I had a gift of being able to talk people out of suicide which I feel very lucky and humbled to have, after that I worked for a mental health charity called rethink as a mental health recovery worker, I did more training through them and I had a small team below me, a lot of that work was risk assessments and making sure all our clients got the best possible help, we did a lot of goal setting with the clients and I was even able to negotiate a lower section level for one client, I was there for a year and in that time I trained as a psychotherapy practitioner with a college that allowed me to study from home, which was great, I have now been with Devon recovery learning for just over three years and we run courses for people with mental health problems ranging from confidence course to more heavy stuff, I have my own podcast show which is counselling based and I'm now studying to become an advanced psychotherapy practitioner, I also work for no panic helpline which specialises in anxiety and we use a specific breathing technique to help with panic attacks, so that's my counselling career so far, now just a little bit about me, I've been married to my wonderful husband for 5 years and we've been together for 10, we don't have any children nor do we want to, we live in a rural part of the UK, I have personal experience of mental health which is what made me want to go into counselling, my personal therapy is beauty pageants and without them I would not be as confident as I am now, I'm also a model, so that's me x

Hello my name is Kyndra Warner, I am 22 years old, Graduated from Apache Junction High School back in 2014, I went to college for a brief period in July of 2014. I am a CPR trained student. I have worked with children during the times I wasn't in school, I used to babysit and also did some odd jobs over at Ace Hardware do to some clean up maintenance around the whole store plaza. I grew up in a home where my mother and father were hardly ever in my life for more than a brief moment. Both parents have been to jail. I have since been able to have a relationship with my father but unfortunately that doesn't equal to anything related with my mother. I have excellent listening, communication skills, as well as people skills. I love trying to help others and make their days just a little bit better if i can do so. My goal for The Black Widow Magazine is to not only give the recognition that every musician deserves but also serve as a place to help those who feel like they have no one to turn to. To be that place they feel no judgement, no hate, where they feel less alone and apart of something much bigger than life. My hope is to bring people together, and show everyone that life does get better, and there are ways to deal with the harsh life of the real world, so that one does not make a decision that they can not take back, one that they would soon be too late to regret. We hope to be that voice for those that need that voice. That's a little bit about me, if you have any questions about who i am and what things I have been through please feel free to message me on twitter or even here. Ill be happy to answer all your questions <3.
